Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. At Kurtens the operation covers curtains made to your dimensions, not stock to clear: the discount shown is calculated on the price charged all year round, with no price inflated in October.

What a made-to-measure Black Friday changes
A made-to-measure curtain cannot be cleared from stock. It is cut and sewn after the order, to the width and height given: there is no unsold stock from last season to liquidate.
That is what rules out the most common Black Friday mechanism for us, raising the price a few weeks earlier to display a bigger percentage. The reference price is the one charged the rest of the year, and it is public on the collection pages before the operation. You can check it yourself.

Preparing your order before 27 November
A made-to-measure order starts from dimensions. Taking them in advance is the only real time saved in the operation, and it costs nothing.
Width first, then height
That is the order in which we read a dimension. The measuring method avoids the most common error.
The type of fitting
Rod, track, eyelets or pencil pleat: the choice changes the panel's heading.
The number of panels
A window can take one panel or two, depending on the width and the opening you want.
The shade
Fourteen shades on the main range. The colour guide helps you decide.
Why November is the right month for a thermal curtain
Because the curtain acts on the heat already in the room. Fitted in late November, it covers December, January and February, that is to say most of the heating season. Fitted in February, it really only serves the following winter.
According to ADEME, windows account for 10 to 15% of a home's heat loss. The Union des Fabricants de Menuiseries notes that this estimate is low, because it does not take into account air leakage around windows already installed. That is exactly where a dense curtain works, and what double glazing alone does not fix.

When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday 27 November 2026. Cyber Monday follows on Monday 30 November. The date is derived each year from the fourth Thursday of November, which falls on the 26th in 2026.
Is the discount calculated on an inflated price?
No. The reference price is the one charged the rest of the year, and it is public on the collection pages before the operation. Since a made-to-measure curtain has no stock to clear, there is no reason to inflate a price only to bring it down again.
Can you order made-to-measure during Black Friday?
Yes, that is the whole point of the operation. Every curtain is made to the width and height you give, on the same terms as the rest of the year.
Should you wait for Black Friday to order?
That depends on how urgent it is. If a window is already losing you heat, waiting several weeks costs comfort and heating. If the order can wait, the late-November operation is the best moment of the season.
Which curtains to choose for winter?
The useful criterion is fabric weight. A 620 gsm thermal acoustic blackout in three layers is what insulates best in the range, with up to 7 °C difference at the glass. A 265 gsm light-filtering panel does not have that function; it serves light and daytime privacy.
