Kurtens (Kurtens is a brand of WAVE LLC) offers two product ranges subject to distinct return rules: standard-size curtains and made-to-measure curtains. Your rights differ depending on the type of product ordered.


1. Standard curtains — Returns within 30 days

You have 30 calendar days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify your decision. This period is a commercial guarantee offered by Kurtens, more favorable than the legal minimum of 14 days set out in European regulations.

Acceptance conditions

  • Product unused, uninstalled, unwashed and unmodified
  • Original packaging intact with labels and accessories
  • No signs of use (mounting holes, hanging creases, scent…)

Any curtain showing signs of use cannot be accepted for return.

Procedure

  • Email contact@kurtens.com with your order number within the 30-day period
  • We acknowledge receipt within 24 working hours
  • Return the product within 14 days to the address provided; return shipping at your expense. As the return is made under your responsibility, we strongly recommend using a shipping method with tracking number and insurance. Kurtens cannot process a refund or exchange if the parcel is lost by the carrier during its return shipment.
  • Refund issued within 14 days after receipt, via the same payment method

Swiss customers: customs formalities may apply to the return. Kurtens provides all the necessary documents.


2. Made-to-measure curtains — Returns not possible

As made-to-measure curtains are manufactured to your personal dimensions and specifications, the right of withdrawal does not apply, in accordance with the following legislation:

  • France: art. L. 221-28, 3° of the Consumer Code
  • Belgium: art. VI.53, 3° of the Code of Economic Law
  • Luxembourg: art. L. 222-9 (3°) — Directive 2011/83/EU
  • Switzerland: art. 40d para. 1 let. c LCC

No return is accepted in the event of:

  • Change of mind or aesthetic dissatisfaction
  • Measurement error made by the customer
  • Product matching the order placed

Made a measurement error? The Exact-Fit Guarantee (€29.90), available at checkout, lets you have your curtain remade free of charge to the correct dimensions. Valid for 30 days after receipt.


3. Defective or non-compliant product

Whatever the range (standard or made-to-measure), if your order has a manufacturing defect, does not match your order, or is damaged in transit, Kurtens fully covers the return and the replacement or refund.

Cases covered

  • Manufacturing defect (seams, finishes, technical performance)
  • Non-compliance with the order (wrong color, wrong finish on our part)
  • Damage occurring during transit

Procedure

  • Check your order on receipt
  • For any visible transit damage: note reservations on the delivery slip
  • Contact us within 3 working days of receipt at contact@kurtens.com or on +33 1 84 16 06 10
  • Include photos of the product and your order number
  • We acknowledge receipt within 24 working hours — a prepaid return label is sent to you if the return is approved
  • Replacement or refund issued within 14 days after receipt


4. Exclusions

Returns are not accepted in the following situations:

  • Customer measurement error (made-to-measure): if the product matches the order placed but the dimensions provided were incorrect
  • Misuse: damage resulting from incorrect installation or abnormal use
  • Normal wear: deterioration from regular use under normal conditions
  • Product modification: any alteration made by the customer or a third party without prior written agreement from Kurtens
  • Unreported transit damage: visible damage not reported within 3 working days of receipt.
