Choose your range and colour, then enter your dimensions in the configurator. It accepts up to 1,000 cm wide by 270 cm high, or up to 600 cm high by 270 cm wide, including a height under 150 cm, such as for a small habitation window.
Before ordering, read the size guide to measure the opening, work out the height for your fitting and allow for the overlap you need. Made to measure lets you adapt the curtain to your conversion.
Choose from 4 top heading finishes: 40 mm eyelets, pencil pleat tape, rod pocket or multi-purpose. The heading guide helps you choose according to your setup. No bottom fixing is supplied.
Kurtens does not supply a pole, track, bracket or magnet, and does not install. You or your converter take care of installing the fitting. For a size outside these limits or a question before ordering, contact us with your dimensions and a description of your project.
The Exact-Fit guarantee, available as an option, covers a remake in case of a measuring error within 30 days.
Yes for blocking light, with a suitable overlap. The fabrics of both Kurtens ranges are 100 % blackout. Light can still pass around the curtain if gaps remain. The single-layer meets the need for darkness and privacy, with no thermal or acoustic function.
For the thermal function, choose the 3-in-1. For the 3-in-1, Kurtens states up to 7 °C, measured in the laboratory. This is not a guaranteed temperature in your motorhome.
For noise, distinguish the stated value from the result in your vehicle. Kurtens states up to 22 dB of attenuation for the 3-in-1. This value does not allow us to promise an equivalent reduction of noise from a road or a motorhome stopover inside your living space.
Read our guide on how a thermal curtain works to understand its role in your interior setup.
A made-to-measure fabric curtain belongs inside the motorhome, van or campervan. Choose the position according to the space you want to darken or separate.
- Behind the front seats: a panel separates the cab from the living area and keeps the living space private.
- In front of the side door or rear doors: the curtain covers the opening from the inside, with a suitable fitting.
- Around the bed or in front of the rear storage: it marks out the space and blocks the view.
- In front of a small habitation window: a height under 150 cm can also be ordered in the configurator.
To cover the windscreen or cab windows directly, a blind or an insulated cover designed for the vehicle remains the right solution. Kurtens does not make pleated blinds, windscreen blinds or fly screens, and does not offer kits for a specific vehicle model.

The single-layer blackout curtain, the more accessible range, weighs 315 g/m². Fine and fluid, this mottled technical linen is reversible, with identical front and back. It is 100 % blackout, UV-resistant and comes in 6 colours. It is the lighter and less bulky of the two ranges for darkening a sleeping area or keeping your privacy.
The 3-in-1 thermal and acoustic blackout curtain, the more complete range, weighs 620 g/m². Its 3 layers combine blackout, thermal function and acoustic function. It comes in 14 colours.
The 3-in-1 is thicker and, for the same surface, its fabric weighs twice as much as the single-layer. This matters for a large divider and for a light fitting: check the load capacity of the whole installation before choosing.
Compare the two constructions in our guide thermal blackout or simple blackout.
Start by deciding where the fitting will go. Then measure the width to cover and the height down to where you want the curtain to end, following the size guide. Allow room for the fabric when it is open, as well as the overlap needed to limit gaps.
To replace existing motorhome curtains, first check that your pole or track is compatible with the chosen finish. 40 mm eyelets, pencil pleat tape, rod pocket and the multi-purpose finish are not all mounted the same way.
Fitting without drilling depends on your fitting and the weight of the curtain. See the ideas in our guide to hanging a curtain without drilling, then have their suitability for your vehicle checked. They are not a Kurtens fixing kit for motorhomes.
No track, bracket, magnet or bottom holding system is supplied. For the 3-in-1, take its 620 g/m² into account from the moment you choose the installation.
Before any washing, check the instructions for your curtain. Do not infer the care method from how the fabric looks alone: the single-layer and the 3-in-1 have different constructions.
Our technical curtain care guide helps you with washing. Read it before choosing a programme, a product or a drying method.
When planning your conversion, also think about access to the fittings to take the curtain down and put it back. If you have any doubt about caring for the chosen range, contact Kurtens before going ahead.
Frequently asked questions.
Do blackout and thermal curtains work in a campervan?
Yes for blocking light, if the curtain covers the opening well. Both Kurtens ranges are 100 % blackout. Only the 3-in-1 has a thermal and acoustic function. No temperature gain in the van is guaranteed.
What is the best curtain against heat in a motorhome?
In the Kurtens range, choose the 3-in-1 for its thermal function. Kurtens states up to 7 °C, measured in the laboratory: this is not a guaranteed temperature in the living space. To cover the windscreen directly, choose suitable cab equipment.
Which curtain to black out the sleeping area in a campervan?
To black out the sleeping area and preserve your privacy, the single-layer, the more accessible range, is the lightest and least bulky of the two curtains. Its fabric is 100 % blackout; plan a suitable overlap to limit light passing around it. Choose the 3-in-1 if you are also looking for the thermal and acoustic functions. Thicker and heavier, it requires you to check the capacity of the support.
Can a curtain reduce noise in a motorhome?
The 3-in-1 has an acoustic function: Kurtens states up to 22 dB of attenuation. This value cannot predict the reduction of outside noise in your motorhome. The result depends in particular on the installation and on sound passing around the curtain. The single-layer has no acoustic function.
What colour curtain keeps heat out?
Kurtens does not provide any measurement to rank its colours against heat. Choose the construction first: the 3-in-1 has a thermal function, the single-layer does not. Colour alone cannot promise a cooler living space.
Which curtain to separate the cab from the living area?
The single-layer, the more accessible range, works for darkening and privacy with a light 315 g/m² fabric. The 3-in-1 adds thermal and acoustic functions, at 620 g/m². Measure your opening and check the capacity of the fitting.
Can I order a small curtain for a motorhome window?
Yes, the configurator also accepts heights under 150 cm: you pay for the smallest size in the grid that covers your measurements, and the workshop receives your exact measurements. It accepts up to 1,000 cm wide by 270 cm high, or up to 600 cm high by 270 cm wide. Send your dimensions to Kurtens for a request outside these ranges.
How to hang a van curtain without drilling?
The solution depends on the available fitting and the weight of the curtain. Read the Kurtens guide on fitting without drilling and check the system suits your vehicle. Kurtens supplies the fabric heading at the top, but no pole, track, bracket, magnet or bottom fixing.
Can I replace my motorhome curtains and keep the track?
It depends on whether the track and its accessories are compatible with the finish of the new curtain. Kurtens offers 40 mm eyelets, pencil pleat tape, rod pocket and multi-purpose. Read the heading guide before ordering.
Does Kurtens sell pleated blinds or windscreen curtains?
No. Kurtens makes made-to-measure fabric curtains for the cab divider, doors, sleeping area, rear storage or habitation windows. For a pleated blind or an insulated cab cover, choose specialist equipment suited to your vehicle.
