This brown delivers complete darkness with a single fabric, where other blackout curtains double up the thickness. You get the darkness without the weight: a thin curtain with a soft drape, identical on both faces. It blocks 100% of UV rays and cuts direct sun to keep the room cooler.

Brown sets a cosy mood in a bedroom, a living room or any space you want to feel intimate. Its dark shade absorbs stray light and deepens the darkness at bedtime.
Made to measure, to your exact dimensions
Available in standard sizes or made to your exact measurements, with no limit on width or height, from a bedroom window to a 3-metre patio door. To eliminate any halo, plan for the curtain wider than the window, overhanging 15 to 20 cm on each side, with the rod 10 to 15 cm above the frame.
Headings and pairings
Four headings: 40 mm eyelets, pencil pleat, rod pocket or multifunctional. Brown pairs with earthy tones, wood, leather and rattan, for a natural or wabi-sabi look.

Does this curtain really block 100% of the light?
Yes, in a single layer and with no lining. Hang it overhanging to avoid light on the sides.
What is the difference between a blackout curtain and a thermal curtain?
A blackout curtain blocks the light. A thermal curtain targets temperature insulation. This single-layer curtain blocks light 100% and blocks UV rays; for thermal and soundproof insulation on top, Kurtens offers a thermal and soundproof blackout curtain.
Do you need a lining?
No. The complete darkness comes from the fabric alone, with no added lining.

Returns: made-to-measure curtains are not eligible for return unless there is a manufacturing defect. Standard curtains can be returned within 30 days, in their original packaging, unused and not installed. Return shipping is at the customer's expense except in the case of a defect.

Front and back identical. The same mottled weave on both sides, no technical reverse to hide.
Every color is photographed in natural light, with no shade retouching. A screen, a wall or the light in your room always changes the look a little: the color guide helps you choose with confidence. And if the shade isn't right once it's hung, standard sizes can be returned within 30 days.

Is it really 100% blackout?
Yes. The fabric blocks 100% of visible light and UV rays in a single 310 g/m² layer. For complete darkness with no leakage at the sides, the made-to-measure option lets you cover the entire window.

Machine wash 30°C, delicate cycle. No tumble dryer. Iron on low heat (inside out). Properties retained after washing.
Can I return it?
30-day returns. Returns accepted for manufacturing defects, with free exchange. Made-to-measure cannot be returned for personal preference, which is why the Exact-Fit Guarantee matters.
