Measurements, fixings, colors. Our guides walk you through choosing your Kurtens curtain step by step, in a standard size or made-to-measure, with complete confidence.
Before you begin.
You'll need a tape measure (or a soft measuring tape) and something to write with. Allow 5 minutes per window. If you have several identical windows, one measurement is enough.
1. Measure the width of your curtain rod
Measure your rod from one end cap to the other. Note this measurement in centimetres.
Kurtens recommends a total curtain width of 2 to 2.5 times this measurement. For two panels, divide this total by two. Enter the flat width of each panel: the configurator applies no coefficient.
Rod overhang
The rod extends 15 cm beyond the window on each side: when closed, the curtain covers the edges of the window and blocks noise, light and cold better. Measure the rod as it is, without adding any margin.
2. Measure the height
Measure from the rod ring (or from the hook, depending on your fixing type) down to the floor. This is the drop height of your curtain.
Recommended margin
Add a few centimetres to the height for an elegant drop at the floor. A curtain that is too short loses both its looks AND its insulating performance: air (and noise) slip in underneath.
3. Use your dimensions to order
