A standard size can be suitable if it covers the opening properly with the necessary overlap. Made-to-measure allows dimensions to be adapted when the available sizes do not fit; it does not guarantee better insulation on its own.
The Kurtens configurator lets you order a curtain in the exact dimensions of your window, to the exact centimetre. 270 cm is the width of the fabric roll, not an absolute maximum curtain height. The options depend on the combination of width and height. For dimensions not offered in the configurator, contact us to confirm production and whether a joining seam is needed. For the most common windows, 4 standard sizes are also available: 100x150, 150x230, 250x230 and 300x270 cm.

How to choose your made-to-measure thermal blackout curtain.
The first step is to measure your window. Take the total width of the area to cover (not just the glass, but the whole frame, with 15 to 20 cm of overhang on each side to eliminate light leaks). Then choose your heading based on your rod and the look you want. Eyelets give an even drape with wide folds. The pencil pleat creates fine, elegant folds, suited to track rods. The rod pocket slides directly onto the bar, with no extra accessory.
Select your color from the 14 options available. All colors deliver the same performance. In a bedroom, soft shades (cream, blue, mint green) create a soothing atmosphere. In a living room, grey or green fit easily into most decors.

It needs a sturdy wall-mounted rod, fixed with anchors suited to the wall (concrete, plasterboard, brick). Telescopic rods are not recommended for wide windows, as they may sag under the weight.
